Odoo Experience 2026 runs 24–26 September at Brussels Expo. 400+ talks, the Odoo 20 launch and a free pass. What to see and how to prepare for it.

Once a year the entire Odoo ecosystem gathers in one place: customers, implementation partners, developers and the product team from Belgium. In 2026 that date falls on 24–26 September at Brussels Expo, and the event is called Odoo Experience.

I am writing about it for two reasons. First, it is the best opportunity all year to see Odoo in the hands of people running it in production, instead of reading another feature comparison table. Second, we will be there with the Macopedia team and we are happy to arrange a conversation on site.

What Odoo Experience is

Odoo Experience is the annual conference run by Odoo S.A., the company behind the system. It is not a typical industry event with three panel discussions and a buffet. The scale is different:

  • 24–26 September 2026, Brussels Expo in Brussels, on-site only
  • the organiser expects over 45,000 attendees from more than 150 countries
  • over 400 talks across three days
  • over 400 exhibitors in the expo area
  • 7 master classes, meaning full-day training workshops
  • 4 live concerts, a gaming zone and an awards ceremony in the evenings

Hours: 9:00–18:00 on Thursday and Friday, 9:00–17:00 on Saturday.

It is worth setting expectations correctly straight away. With 400 talks there is no single track you simply walk through. The programme splits into themes: implementation best practices, module functionality, development and business growth. Every talk is followed by a Q&A session, and that is often where the most interesting part happens.

The Odoo 20 launch at the opening keynote

The most important item on the agenda is the opening keynote, delivered by Fabien Pinckaers, the founder of Odoo. This is where Odoo 20 launches publicly.

That is not a formality. Since version 17, every Odoo release has brought changes that genuinely affect how much customisation a typical implementation needs. A feature that required a dedicated module in version 19 may ship as standard in 20. For a company currently planning an implementation or an upgrade, this single presentation can change the scope of the project.

If you are running Odoo 16 or older, the keynote is also a chance to judge how far your installation sits from the current product line.

Tickets: what is free and what is not

Odoo keeps a model where access to the conference itself costs nothing.

TicketPriceScope
Basic Passfreeaccess to talks, the exhibition and workshops
Premium Pass, 3 daysEUR 255the extended option for the whole event
Premium Pass, 1 dayEUR 155the extended option for a single day
CEO PassEUR 480a package aimed at executives
Master classEUR 990one full-day workshop, 7 topics to choose from

The free Basic Pass is enough if your goal is to see the system, listen to talks and talk to exhibitors. That is a realistic scenario for someone still weighing up an ERP and wanting to verify whether Odoo is the right direction. Registration goes through the event page, and availability is worth checking as you go, because the event is under a month away.

A master class is a different category. It is training, not a talk, and it makes sense for people already working with the system who want to go deeper in one specific area.

Who this event is for

Three situations where the trip is worth considering.

You are weighing up an ERP and comparing systems. The conference gives you something no demo can: the chance to talk to dozens of companies that have already implemented Odoo. Asking “what surprised you most during the project” of five of those companies is worth more than a week of reading marketing material.

You already run Odoo and are planning to expand it. The functional talks show modules in the context of specific industries. If you are thinking about extending your implementation into manufacturing (MRP), warehousing (WMS) or e-commerce, you will see how companies with a similar profile did it.

You are a developer or you run a technical team. The developer track covers architecture, the API and writing modules. It is also the only place all year where you can talk to the people building the core of the system.

Who is unlikely to benefit: anyone looking for a ready answer to “what would an implementation cost for us”. That is a conversation better had calmly, with access to your own data and processes.

How to prepare

A few things worth doing before you travel.

  • Pick your talks in advance. With 400 items in the programme, improvising on site means missing half of what you came for. Build a plan around three or four themes, not twenty.
  • Prepare a list of questions about your own processes. The Q&A sessions after each talk are the best place to ask them. A specific question about a specific problem gets a specific answer.
  • Give the exhibition its own block of time. 400 stands is not something you fit in between talks.
  • Book accommodation as early as possible. With that many attendees, Brussels gets expensive and full.
  • Take the evenings into account. The awards, concerts and networking area are officially entertainment, but they are also where contacts are actually made.

Let’s meet in Brussels

We will be at Odoo Experience 2026 as attendees. As an Odoo Ready Partner we implement the system in Polish manufacturing and trading companies: from process analysis, through the MRP and WMS modules, to KSeF integration.

If you are planning to attend and want to discuss your project on site, get in touch before the conference. We will set a specific time rather than count on running into each other in a crowd of 45,000.

Frequently asked questions

When and where does Odoo Experience 2026 take place?

24–26 September 2026 at Brussels Expo in Brussels. The event is on-site only.

Is attendance free?

Yes, the free Basic Pass covers access to talks, the exhibition and workshops. The Premium packages, the CEO Pass and the master classes are paid.

What language are the talks in?

The event is international, with attendees from more than 150 countries, so the main language of the programme is English.

Is it worth going if we do not have Odoo yet?

Yes, and that is one of the better scenarios. A free pass plus the chance to talk to dozens of companies already running the system is the cheapest form of verification money can buy right now.

What is special about the opening keynote?

The Odoo 20 launch, delivered by the founder of the company. For anyone planning an implementation or an upgrade, it is the most important 90 minutes of the whole conference.

Summary

Odoo Experience is an event where the ratio of what you can take away to what you have to spend is unusually favourable: entry can be free, and the programme includes the launch of a version that a whole year of product development went into. If Odoo is in your plans for 2027, September in Brussels is a good moment to test those plans against reality.

And if you would rather move from watching to numbers, let’s talk about your implementation.
