Creating an omnichannel healthcare marketplace with over 3 million monthly visitors.

01. Brief:

Neuca Group is a leading wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals with a mission to support independent pharmacists. They partnered with us to implement their omnichannel retail strategy. The goal was to strengthen their relationship with B2B partners, while providing optimal experience for the patients.

Challenge:

Develop a strong digital presence with an online-to-offline (O2O) business model.

02. Solution:

Neuca Group asked us to develop Apteline.pl, a digital marketplace for ordering pharmaceuticals (both OTC and prescription medications). Within 24 hours, each order is available for pickup in one of 1200 locations (all of them being independent pharmacies).

Since it was a high-paced project, we decided to go with proven tools: Magento and TYPO3 CMS. We were also responsible for implementing Magento PIM, integrating the store with a SAP ERP, and setting up custom infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.

Together with the client, we agreed to follow Scrum in order to deliver the MVP quickly. Our experts acted as Scrum Masters for both teams, supporting the client in their project management efforts as well.
