Creating an omnichannel healthcare marketplace with over 3 million monthly visitors.
Neuca Group is a leading wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals with a mission to support independent pharmacists. They partnered with us to implement their omnichannel retail strategy. The goal was to strengthen their relationship with B2B partners, while providing optimal experience for the patients.
Neuca Group asked us to develop Apteline.pl, a digital marketplace for ordering pharmaceuticals (both OTC and prescription medications). Within 24 hours, each order is available for pickup in one of 1200 locations (all of them being independent pharmacies).
Since it was a high-paced project, we decided to go with proven tools: Magento and TYPO3 CMS. We were also responsible for implementing Magento PIM, integrating the store with a SAP ERP, and setting up custom infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
Together with the client, we agreed to follow Scrum in order to deliver the MVP quickly. Our experts acted as Scrum Masters for both teams, supporting the client in their project management efforts as well.
When it comes to purchasing pharmaceuticals, the accuracy and smoothness of operation are of utmost importance. This is why Neuca Group asked us for an application-level SLA: someone from our team is always available to support Apteline if any technical issues occur.
We’ve worked with several technology vendors, but collaborating with Macopedia was definitely the best. Their team showed us what Scrum really is and taught us how to use it to our benefit.
Apteline.pl has quickly become one of the most popular healthcare eCommerces in the region. With 3.7 million monthly visitors, it made the list of the biggest global businesses built with Magento.
